'Teen Wolf' season 6 spoilers, updates: Dylan O'Brien resumes filming in October; Theo turns over new leaf?
"Teen Wolf," MTV's supernatural drama series has been beset by off-screen drama even before filming for its sixth and final season began. However, it looks like all systems are in place for the show, as reports say one of its lead actors is set to start filming soon.
Production for "Teen Wolf" season 6 was brought to a temporary standstill, particularly in scenes involving Dylan O'Brien, as adjustments had to be made following the actor's on-set accident while shooting "Maze Runner: The Death Cure" in March. The rest of the series' cast got busy with work.
The release of the series has been pushed back from the usual June release to a November premiere. However, recent reports say O'Brien, who plays Stiles on the series, is ready and raring to get back into action.
Apparently, O'Brien was able to film a few scenes before his accident, and now that he's fully recovered from the injuries he sustained, he will resume filming for the series finale in October.
Meanwhile, there are speculations that familiar faces will once again appear on the series before it bids goodbye to the small screens forever. Fans are hoping that Tyler Hoechlin, who starred in the series as Derek Hale, would return for the final season. Hoechlin, who will be playing Superman on The CW's "Supergirl," left the series during its fourth season.
Another familiar face who's making a comeback is Cody Christian's Theo Raeken. Theo was last seen being pulled into the ground by his dead sister after willfully failing his mission. Theo has been more of a villain in the last season, but in his interview with Zap2It, he teased that the character will reveal a softer side to him this season.
"It's still going to be Theo," Christian shared. "It's still going to be the guy that we love to hate, however, there's going to be this level of humanity towards him [...] There's just a new side, this vulnerability that's there, and it's present. So, I'm very very excited to share that."
"Teen Wolf" season 6 is premiering Nov. 15 on MTV.
