Players can now expect to get their hands on and bring home "Tekken 7" on June 2.

The game has been playable in Japanese arcade systems since March 2015. However, it has not yet been ported to home systems up until the recent announcement.

Thirty characters will be featured in the game. Among them is Akuma, a guest character from the "Street Fighter" series who has made several appearances in previous "Tekken" games. Also returning is Brazilian Eddy Gordo, known for using capoeira as his fighting style. New characters will also be brought into the game.

According to the game's producers, players can expect more content on the home system versions of "Tekken 7." One addition would be its Story Mode. The game is said to finally provide the conclusion of the Mishima family feud and provide the background of the Devil Gene. New combat features have been added in-game, such as Rage Arts and Power Crush.

"Tekken 7" will be available for PlayStation (PS) 4, Xbox One, and PC via Steam. Game producer Katsuhiro Harada noted, however, that the game will not support cross-platform play, meaning players who use different gaming consoles will not be able to have matches against each other. Harada noted that this feature is not an issue of Bandai Namco, but of the platforms themselves.

PS4 players can gain access to exclusive content for "Tekken 7." These include legacy costumes from "Tekken 2" and "Tekken 4" for Jin, King, and Xiaoyu. It also comes with a Jukebox mode, which players can listen to original "Tekken" music. They also have access to downloadable content (DLC) character Eliza. Xbox One players, meanwhile, will also get Eliza as a DLC character, as well as a free copy of "Tekken 6."

Bandai Namco made an announcement last December that its PS3 free-to-play game "Tekken Revolution" will be closed down by March 21 in preparation for the launch of "Tekken 7."
