According to the latest reports, the upcoming game will most likely have a February 2017 release date for Play Station 4, Xbox One and the PC. The new game is said to feature Akuma's story mode gameplay, which will make it more exciting for players.
At the recent PAX 2016 event, Bandai Namco showed new gameplay footage for "Tekken 7." The demo features Akuma's story mode from all game titles in the franchise. The streamed video showed Akuma confronting the game's one of the main antagonists Heihachi Mishima at the Mishima Dojo. Mishima was seen meditating inside the shrine when Akuma decided to face him.
According to Segment Next, the video shows a mysterious figure who suddenly appeared at the door of the dojo. Akuma then challenges Mishima to a fight in order to avenge the death of Kazumi. Akuma, who made his debut in Super Street Fighter II Turbo, promised to Kazumi to kill Mishima. He then uses all his skills like Tatsumaki Senppukyaku, Gohadoken and Goshoryuken. He also shows his critical arts skills such as Messatsu Gou Hadou and Shun Goku Satsu a.k.a the Raging Demon.
The producer of the "Tekken" franchise Katsuhiro Harada hinted that more guest characters will be featured in "Tekken 7" once the title comes out in the market. Akuma is the first character from the "Street Fighter" franchise to have been featured in the "Tekken" series.
Meanwhile, WCCFTech reported that although Bandai Namco has yet to provide concrete details with regard to the planned 2017 release date of the game title, many fans are hoping that "Tekken 7" will finally come out in February next year.
