Tesla Model 3 release date, features, latest update: Company to begin mass production next year; acquires Grohmann Engineering for manufacturing systems
All car enthusiasts are looking forward to the release of Tesla Model 3 due to its top-of-the-line features and premium design. Elon Musk has already confirmed this, and it is about to get better with more details released.
Tesla Motors is reportedly hoping for a mass production of vehicles in order to support the preorders for the Tesla Model 3. This has opted the company to acquire Grohmann Engineering to help in the development of the company's automated manufacturing methods.
The company is planning on manufacturing 500,000 units on a yearly basis, which should start in 2018 — as soon as Tesla Model 3 is out. It is believed that Tesla Model 3 is the most affordable electronic vehicle the company has ever developed as it is only priced at $35,000 without the incentives.
Since Tesla Motors has to have a mass production, it is reasonable for them to focus on the production systems, which opts them to acquire Germany's Grohmann Engineering. The mass production of Tesla Model 3 is scheduled to start at the middle of next year while Tesla is aimed for a mid-2018 release.
The anticipated car can run at 215 miles at peak with a single charge. The great thing about it is that the car performs in accordance with Tesla's highest safety standards.
As for the specs, Tesla Model 3 is believed to be installed with 12 sensors and eight cameras, which are needed to make self-driving fully automatic. However, car enthusiasts need to order the feature or it will not be readily installed in the vehicle. In fact, if the future Tesla Model 3 owners will not invest an enormous $8,000 to activate the features, then the latest hardware would just be useless.
In other news, Tesla has been reportedly criticized for announcing that it will stop offering the unlimited supercharging stations. The company has yet to confirm the pricing of their supercharging stations, but they stated it as a "small fee."
