Tesla Model 3 release date news: vehicle's autopilot feature to be announced in mid-December
Enthusiasts of Tesla Model 3 have been looking forward to December as it is rumored that on this month Tesla Motors will announce the vehicle's Autopilot feature, which may have technologically advanced features.
Several reports claim that Tesla Motors will bring Tesla Model 3 to a whole new level with its Autopilot feature. Company CEO Elon Musk reportedly said that the Model S and Model X will have such a feature and will be announced in the middle of this month.
In an article by Clean Technica, Tesla Motor 3 is said to boast a larger rear window that will reach to its pillar "B." The improvement will benefit the rear-seat passengers as the structural beam above their heads will be eradicated. Furthermore, it will create more space as it will increase the seat headroom.
However, the features may not be seen in the near future. Car enthusiasts say that the anticipated electronic car will not be released until the last quarter of 2018. This is due to the rumors that the company is having a difficult time manufacturing a number of cars.
It could be recalled that the mass production of Tesla Model 3 is scheduled in mid-2017 and they have acquired Germany's Grohmann Engineering to help out in the mass production of the vehicles. The latter company will apparently improve the automated manufacturing systems of Tesla Motors so that they can deliver efficiently on the production of their other vehicles.
Aside from the Autopilot feature, Tesla Model 3 is expected to come with 2,015 miles per charge peak while still fulfilling the safety standards set by the company. The car will also be equipped with eight cameras and 12 sensors so as to fulfill the full-autonomous self-driving capacity of the model.
December has already started and so it will be just a few days before Tesla Motors announce a new update for Tesla Model 3. Until then, enthusiasts will just have to sit back, relax and happily anticipate what Tesla Motors will soon unveil.
