Will Octavia turn to the dark side as she deals with personal struggles?

What's next for Octavia (Marie Avgeropoulos) after losing Lincoln (Ricky Whittle)? A lot, apparently, including a trip to the dark side.

Avgeropoulos shared that much when she talked to TV Guide about the upcoming season of "The 100." It looks like Octavia's heartbreak and inability to mend fences with her brother Bellamy (Bob Morley) will take a toll on her, hence her venture into the dark.

Although Octavia would still give priority to saving the human race, her own personal vendettas could be too much for her to handle, and if Avgeropoulos could have her way, she would love her character to start doing as she pleases and not let anyone else control her.

In an interview with IGN, Avgeropoulos dished on what Octavia is going through coming into "The 100" season 4. In particular, she opened up about Octavia and Bellamy's relationship, as well as her struggles concerning her brother.

"She's at odds with her own brother because Octavia and Bellamy were sort of enemies this season because he was on Pike's side and he was faced with a lot of difficult decisions," she told IGN. "She's always in conflict about what to do [and] at the end of the day she's in conflict with the decision of family. Bellamy's the only family Octavia has. It's going to be tough for her next season."

Her devotion to the only family she knows played a lot with Octavia's struggle to choose sides during the past seasons. With her and her brother on opposing sides, the struggle has been real for Octavia.

"She's constantly struggling to do what's best for her people, but she also cares about her brother so much. ... She found her place among the Grounders. ... But at the end of the day, she's a Blake," TV Guide quoted Avgeropoulos as saying.

Meanwhile, Eliza Taylor told the audience at the Oz Comic Con that her character, Clarke Griffin, would have a hard time coping with the death of Lexa (Alycia Debnam-Carey). She invested too much in her relationship, so it might be hard for her to find a new love when "The 100" season 4 returns. "I don't know if she will love again," she said.

That declaration is a big blow to fans who are hoping that Bellamy and Clarke would end up together by the fourth season.

"The 100" season 4 will return to The CW in 2017.
