'The 100' season 4 spoilers, plot news: Octavia will be nastier and darker, says Marie Avgeropoulos
Amid the threat of doomsday during the season 3 finale of "The 100," the Sky Crew was reunited and Octavia Blake (Marie Avgeropoulos) struck the heart of Pike with a dagger for vengeance in the name of Lincoln (Ricky Whittle). His death had hit her hard and to the core.
Avgeropoulos likened Blake's and Lincoln's relationship to that of the literary couple Romeo and Juliet: a forbidden love. Lincoln had gone through a lot for the sake of what they shared, but ended up dying.
"That's the way it started and that's the way it ended," she said in an interview with Just Jared Jr.. "It was horrible and beautiful at the same time."
As a result of her loss and grieving, Blake is expected to get a lot more nasty and dark in the upcoming season. Avgeropoulos welcomes the challenge to her abilities as an actress, saying "...She's always evolving and changing."
With this, Blake may yet find new romance most likely in either Clarke Griffin (Eliza Taylor) or Raven (Lindsey Morgan). In fact, fans had been working on a hashtag campaign for "#GiveRavenReyesAGirlfriend." It was pointed out that Raven and Blake have shared the worst through the previous season, and this may be a common ground to build on.
Another actor, Isaiah Washington, who plays Thelonious Jaha, also teased the redemption of his character.
Season 4 of "The 100" is bound to bring in a lot of exciting twists in the story. However, the show will not be airing any more episodes this year. As Avgeropoulos mentioned, the show will be back in 2017, sometime between January and March, although the CW network has not included the show in its fall list.
As more word is released nearing "The 100" season 4 premiere, more details will be made clear. What fans can look forward to is the next season picking up where the previous one left off with Clarke making a decision, as well as a resolution on how Arkadia can live through yet another nuclear meltdown.
