'The Big Bang Theory' season 10 episode 16 spoilers, news: Amy and Sheldon have their first fight; series closing in on two-season renewal
Amy (Mayim Bialik) gets in a conflict with Sheldon (Jim Parsons) after he shares intimate details of their relationship with people in the university on the upcoming episode of "The Big Bang Theory" season 10.
Titled "The Allowance Evaporation," next week's episode will see a conflict between Sheldon and Amy. According to the official synopsis, Amy is furious at Sheldon after he reveals private details about their relationship to others. While they have their first fight together, Raj (Kunal Nayyar) must also deal with a problem of his own. His father stops sending him financial support, pushing Raj to face the harsh realities of being financially independent.
The promo clip shows Sheldon and Amy having a casual dinner with a colleague. However, Amy is shocked when their colleague brings up private details about her relationship. Sheldon explains that he only told his closest friends and the university cafeteria lunch lady about it, adding that he's clueless on how everybody else found out.
In other related news, it's only a matter of time before CBS announces the show's renewal. TV Line reports that the network is eyeing a two-season renewal deal, and executive producer Bill Prady revealed on his personal Facebook page that the deal is "actually done." The media outlet reached out to CBS, but reps from the network declined to comment.
Last weekend, Parsons spoke with Sunday Today host Willie Geist, and he appeared to be optimistic about the ongoing contract negotiations. "I know that everybody wants to [return]. So I would be shocked if that didn't happen. I really would be," the actor said. It is speculated that under terms of the new deal, the original cast including, Parsons, Johnny Galecki, Kaley Cuoco, Simon Helberg, and Nayyar, will likely maintain their current $1 million per episode salary.
The 10th season of "The Big Bang Theory" airs every Thursday night at 8 p.m. ET on CBS.
