The next episode of "The Big Bang Theory" season 10 may find trouble brewing between Amy (Mayim Bialik) and Sheldon (Jim Parsons).

In Thursday's "The Veracity Elasticity," Amy will try to prolong the "cohabitation experimentation" with her longtime beau by lying about the real condition of her apartment. The promo for the next episode reveals Sheldon trying to figure out if Amy has been lying about the repairs being made at her place so that she can continue living with him. Meanwhile, Leonard (Johnny Galecki) lets Penny (Kaley Cuoco) decorate Sheldon's old room after he finds out that she has been moving his collectibles into storage.

Previously, Amy and Sheldon took a stab at being house party hosts — another step forward in their relationship. To prepare for an actual party, the couple staged a dry-run and invited three guests to brunch at their place. Things seemed to be going well until Sheldon revealed that the guests were on the "trial team." Stuart, one of the guests, was offended and decided to leave. Surprisingly, Sheldon recognized his faux pas and consoled his friend by offering kind words and even a nice toast.

While Amy and Sheldon seem to be steadily moving forward in their relationship, the next episode will reveal if they can sustain the momentum or revert to living separately.

Meanwhile, "Big Bang Theory" star Kunal Nayyar, who plays Raj, recently revealed that the main cast are committed to returning for possible future seasons of the CBS sitcom.

Nayyar, who is currently the world's fourth highest-paid TV actor, recently spoke with the New York Daily News and said that "The Big Bang Theory" is the "happiest place in the world." Leading Forbes' highest-paid TV actor list for 2015-2016 are Nayyar's "Big Bang" co-stars Parsons, Galecki, and Simon Helberg. Kuoco is the second highest-paid TV actress after Sofia Vergara of "Modern Family."

The contracts for the main cast of "The Big Bang Theory" are said to be up for renewal in early 2017 and it has been widely speculated that some of them may be renegotiating for higher salaries, thus putting the show's future at risk. Nayyar, at least, thinks otherwise.

"...[A]s a human being, being on the show is the happiest place in the world," he said. "So if this were the rest of my life, and if I could make a living as an actor being surrounded by such talented and wonderful people and co-workers who are more than but are family, then absolutely yes."

"The Big Bang Theory" season 10 airs Thursdays at 8 p.m. EDT on CBS.
