The gang talks about their terrible holidays when "The Big Bang Theory" returns for the back half of season 10 next year.

Titled "The Holiday Summation," the show's winter premiere will see the group get together to recall how their holiday vacations went. According to the official synopsis, Sheldon (Jim Parsons) and Amy (Mayim Bialik) visit Leonard (Johnny Galecki) and Penny (Kaley Cuoco) for the first time since the holidays. While having dinner with the rest of the gang, Sheldon and Amy share details about their horrible trip when they visited Texas to see Sheldon's mother, Mary (Laurie Metcalf).

In an interview with The Hollywood Reporter, showrunner Steve Molaro shared more teasers about the upcoming midseason premiere. Aside from the gang's awful holiday stories, the story will also feature Howard (Simon Helberg) and Bernadette's (Melissa Rauch) first week as parents.

"The whole gang — and Stuart — are back in the living room, as they should be, telling the stories of the horrible holidays that they had," he said. "Wrapped up in that is covering Bernadette and Howard in their first week at home and how tough that was for them. Plus Bernadette dealing with feeling like she's not a good mother and she can't even get this baby to stop crying when everyone else can," he went on to say.

The addition of a baby will certainly affect the group dynamic, but Molaro assured fans that it won't change the show in a huge way.

However, now that Howard is a father, fans have been wondering if the program would ever feature him finding his own dad who left him when he was young.

"We don't have immediate plans to execute it but absolutely," Molaro added. "He's out there somewhere. If it's not Howard getting curious, then certainly when his father catches wind about that baby, it's certainly a good excuse when the time is right to meet him," he went on to say.

"The Big Bang Theory" season 10 returns to the airwaves on Thursday, Jan. 5, at 8 p.m. ET on CBS.
