'The Blacklist' season 4 episode 3 spoilers, promo trailer & news: More of Liz's past revealed? Is Mr. Kaplan really dead?
Will fans find out if Mr. Kaplan is really dead when "The Blacklist" season 4 airs Thursday? Maybe, maybe not. What's certain is that episode 3, titled "Miles McGrath," will reveal more of Liz Keen's past while Red Reddington and the Task Force go after one of Alexander Kirk's allies.
In recall of episode 2 titled "Mato," Kirk (Ulrich Thomsen) took Liz (Megan Boone) to a place he referred to as the "Summer Palace." It was there that Liz started remembering fragments of her life as a child growing up in the house. She even recalled a "time machine," which she claims her mother gave her. She even distinctly remembers burying the machine in the yard.
So does Liz's memory run contrary to what Kirk told her earlier, that the memories she has of her childhood such as the fire that ate her home and her shooting her father were all fed to her by Red (James Spader) in an attempt to hide the truth? Kirk implied that Red made everything up to cover the fact that he kidnapped a young Liz from their home long ago.
The episode ended with Red shooting Mr. "Kate" Kaplan (Susan Blommaert) for betraying him, but is she really dead? That may be answered in the next episode.
Episode 3, which airs Thursday and titled "Miles McGrath," will pick up where episode 2 left off. As the promo trailer below shows, someone dragged a still breathing Mr. Kaplan away. It remains to be seen if that someone is a friend who wants to help her or if it's an enemy who will use her to his advantage especially against Red. The upcoming episode will also reveal if Red and his team will find Agnes, Liz's daughter whom Kirk took with him after Red rescued Liz in the last episode. Check out the trailer below.
"Red and the Task Force take extreme measures to hunt down one of Alexander Kirk's allies, Miles McGrath (Tate Ellington), a 'criminal incubator' who finances crimes for profit. Meanwhile, Liz learns more about her family," reads the synopsis that CarterMatt shared.
It looks like Red will be on a mission to find Agnes, and saying he'll "handle it" is short of saying everyone should steer clear of him as he is on a warpath and will kill anyone who tries to meddle with him and Kirk. However, it looks like Kirk will not make it easy for Red, uttering, "I'll die before I ever let you hold my granddaughter again."
Gear up for another high-octane offering as "The Blacklist" season 4 episode 3 returns Thursday, Oct. 6, at 10 p.m. on NBC.
