'The Elder Scrolls VI' release date, news, rumors: Bethesda to work on 2 more game titles before developing next 'TES' installment
In spite of the growing anticipation among the fans for the next "The Elder Scrolls" installment, it appears that the much awaited "The Elder Scrolls VI" will not happen next year, and is also not expected to be released in 2018 either. The latest reports reveal that the game studio behind the highly successful game series, Bethesda, will be too busy working on other projects before they can actually work on "The Elder Scrolls VI."
As reported by Yibada, Bethesda's vice president Peter Hines revealed to the fans that the next "Elder Scrolls" installment is not yet in the development stage. More so, he claims that "The Elder Scrolls VI" cannot be expected by the fans to be released anytime soon.
Most of Hines' revelations about "The Elder Scrolls VI" status happened on Twitter, wherein he noticed some Twitter users claiming that the game would be arriving soon. One fan gave hints that "The Elder Scrolls VI" was already in the "pre-alpha" stage, something that Hines immediately downplayed.
The reason behind the delay in the production of "The Elder Scrolls VI" is Bethesda's other game projects. It is expected that the game developer company would be producing at least two game projects, and one of them is not the next "The Elder Scrolls" installment. If anything, Bethesda will be releasing these two new game titles first before they can release or even start developing "The Elder Scrolls VI."
According to Gaming Bolt reported that "The Elder Scrolls VI" will not be even be mentioned at the next year's Gamescom as Bethesda will be very busy with their other engagements. To note, the game studio is known to take some time in developing a new game title.
Meanwhile, even if the other two projects will not be "The Elder Scrolls VI," there are new speculations that one of those will still be related to the game franchise, For one, there is a possibility that Bethesda will be working on a follow-up game to "The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim." Instead of being a completely different installment, the next game title from Bethesda might be called as "Skyrim 2," picking up where "The Elder Scrolls V" left off.
