"The Flash" did not air a new episode on Tuesday, Nov. 4, and has delayed it for another week.

However, The CW unveiled the synopsis for the show's upcoming episode, "Plastique," ahead of time. The promotional clip for "Plastique," the fifth episode of the first season of "The Flash," was posted last week.

According to the official storyline, a bomb is going to blow up in the downtown area of Central City. Joe is surprised when the army, led by General Eiling, move in to take over the investigation of the case. Joe asks Barry, Caitlin and Cisco to look into the army's involvement. Dr. Wells reveals to the team that Eiling was experimenting on his men in his desire to turn them all into super soldiers.

Cisco confirms that one of the soldiers, Bette Sans Souci, was present at the bomb site, but survived. Barry and the team then try to find her and figure out if she is the one setting off the bombs, only to discover that Bette is a meta-human who can blow things up just by touching them.

Joe also finds out about his daughter Iris's fascination about "the streak" and Barry appears to Iris in his Flash uniform to try and get her to stop pursuing him.

Promotional images for "Plastique" have also been revealed online on Super Hero Hype. Pictures of actress Kelly Frye who plays meta-human Bette Sans Souci can be seen as well as a picture of actress Candice Patton as Iris encountering "the streak," and more.

The episode is directed by Dermott Downs and written by Aaron Helbing, Todd Helbing and Brooke Eikmeier.

Actor Clancy Brown guests stars in the show as General Eiling, while Kelly Frye appears as meta-human Bette Sans Souci. They join the cast of "The Flash" consisting of Grant Gustin who plays Barry Allen and the Flash, Danielle Panabaker who plays Dr. Caitlin Snow, Carlos Valdes who plays Cisco Ramon, Tom Cavanagh who plays Dr. Harrison Wells, and Jesse Martin who plays Detective Joe West, among others.

"The Flash" returns on air on Tuesday, Nov.11 on 8p.m. ET on The CW.
