'The Flash' Season 1, Episode 8 Spoilers: Crossover With 'The Arrow'
Episode 8 of "The Flash" Season 1 will feature two nights of crossover episodes on The CW between "The Flash" and "The Arrow," with Part 1 titled "Flash Vs. Arrow," airing on Dec. 2. Part 2, titled "The Brave and the Bold," is set for Dec. 3.
In the previous episode of "The Flash," it was finally revealed that Dr. Wells (Tom Cavanagh) had been documenting Barry's growing abilities in his "secret room." Barry arrived at a crime scene where he found an electrocuted body, apparently dead. Farooq Gibran (Michael Reventar) attacked Barry by electrocuting him, draining him of his speed.
A team tried to figure out what went wrong and ran tests to find out whether the effects were permanent. Since Barry needed his power back, Wells theorized that all he needed was a "jumpstart," so they tried to use a generator to get his power back. However, the process did not work.
When Caitlin turned on the treadmill, it shocked Barry and sent a billion watts of electricity inside his body. Surprisingly, the shock not only didn't kill him but also brought back his power. Barry was now faster than ever before.
During the crossover, Barry (Grant Gustin) will be thrilled about Oliver (Stephen Amell), Diggle (David Ramsey) and Felicity (Emily Bett Rickards) coming to Central City for an investigation of a case involving a "deadly boomerang." Barry attempts to invite Oliver to team up with him to stop a meta-human named Bivolo (Patrick Sabongui).
Conflict between the two heroes begins when Oliver tells Barry that he "still has a lot to learn." Barry goes out alone and attempts to stop Bivolo without Oliver's help. The partnership doesn't go as smoothly as they have expected. Bivolo then infects Barry, putting everyone in danger. This leaves the Arrow as the only one who can stop The Flash, who is now on a rage.
