Barry (Grant Gustin) seeks help from Jay Garrick (guest star John Wesley Shipp) in the upcoming episode of The CW's hit superhero drama "The Flash" season 3.

Titled "The Present," the show's 9th episode will see Barry unable to focus on the Christmas holiday. According to the official synopsis, Barry can't shift his focus to the holidays because of Alchemy and Savitar. To make matters worse, he is also worried about his relationship with Iris (Candice Patton).

Determined to end Savitar's villainous acts once and for all, Barry heads over to Earth-3 to seek advice from Jay Garrick.Wally (Keiynan Lonsdale) expresses his interest to help Barry fight Savitar and even reveals that he has been training with H.R. (Tom Cavanagh). Unfortunately, his decision to train with H.R. doesn't go over well with Barry. Elsewhere, Cisco (Carlos Valdes) tries to face his first Christmas without his brother Dante (guest star Nicholas Gonzalez), but while doing so, old wounds are reopened.

On another note, fans of the original Firestorm aka Ronnie Raymond (Robbie Arnell) were devastated when he was killed off in "The Flash" season 2. Ronnie came back later in the season as Earth-2's villainous Deathstorm who became the main villain, Zoom. Much to his fans' dismay, this version of Ronnie also died in the same episode. In an interview during the Heroes and Villians Fan Fest in Atlanta, Georgia, Amell confirmed that his Earth-1 character is really dead. However, he hinted that he may still return to the show sometime in the future.

"Well the nice thing is when you're dead in that universe there is always another Earth," he said, "but I think that version [Earth-1] of Ronnie is dead because he sacrificed himself to save the city, but you know there is always Earth-3, Earth-4, Earth-5..."

"The Flash" season 3 airs every Tuesday night at 8 p.m. ET on The CW.
