'The Flash' season 3 news, spoilers: Gypsy coming to Central City to help Cisco; is Savitar the future Flash?

Barry Allen (Grant Gustin) and the rest of the team will be welcoming another hero newcomer in Central City. Meanwhile, is it possible that Savitar (Andre Tricoteux) is really The Flash from a super futuristic timeline?

Previously on "The Flash" season 3, Barry went back in time to save his mother from getting killed by The Reverse Flash (Matt Letscher), and he also prevented his father from dying in the future. This created the Flashpoint, where everything is different and Barry is not even The Flash.

After realizing his mistake, Barry tried to return things to the way they were. But the creation of the Flashpoint arc altered some of the events in the present timeline and opened it to a whole new set of threats such as Savitar.

On the return of "The Flash" season 3 in January next year, a new hero will be coming to Central City to help Barry's team in facing Savitar.

According to The Wrap, the newcomer is named Gypsy, and she will be played by "Sleepy Hollow" star Jessica Camacho.

In an episode of "Fan Feast" from The CW, Carlos Valdes, who plays Cisco, shared that fans of the DC Comics will know the character of Gypsy.

"She is going to be coming in our world and Vibe will definitely get to learn some new skills as part of getting to know her. So I'm excited to see how that plays out," said Valdes.

In the comic series, Gypsy's alter ego was Cindy Reynolds, and her power is invisibility. She also had a history with Vibe, and it is possible that the series may also play it as part of her story.

Meanwhile, there are speculations pointing out that Savitar might be really The Flash from the very far future.

Savitar said that he is the future while Barry is the past, which hinted at another timeline from the comic series titled "Out of Time." In this comic, the Future Flash wanted to kill Barry to be able to fix the speed force, which is similar to the show's story now in season 3 if Savitar is really Barry in the future.

But after seeing Savitar kill Iris (Candice Patton), it seems that him being Barry in the future is most unlikely because he could never hurt Iris in any timeline.
