In a few months into the future, Iris (Candice Patton) will die in the hands of Savitar (Andre Tricoteux), and everyone is joining in to prevent it from happening. Meanwhile, Cisco (Carlos Valdes) might be having a new love interest when the series returns this January.

Previously in "The Flash" season 3, Savitar showed Barry (Grant Gustin) that he will kill Iris in a few months. Barry did not want to tell Iris, but being the investigative journalist that she is, she was able to force it out of Barry. Now, The Flash has promised Iris that he will do everything in his power to save her from Savitar.

It appears that Barry will not be the only one exhausting his abilities to save Iris.

In an interview with TV Line, showrunner Aaron Helbing shared that "Everybody will play a huge part in that, because Iris is part of the team."

There is even a possibility that Julian (Tom Felton), who was previously following orders from Savitar, plays a part in saving Iris.

"He feels culpable, and wants to make amends," Helbing explained.

Meanwhile, Cisco might be having a new love interest when a new metahuman comes to Central City.

The Wrap previously reported that Valdes teased that a new character named Gypsy, who will be played by "Sleepy Hollow" star Jessica Camacho, will be mentoring the Vibe in developing his metahuman skills.

"She is going to be coming in our world and Vibe will definitely get to learn some new skills as part of getting to know her. So I'm excited to see how that plays out," Valdes shared.

Gypsy is known as a member of the Justice League and Birds of Prey, whose main power is illusion casting. In the comic series, Vibe and Gypsy had a history together, and it appears that the two will also develop something in "The Flash" season 3.

Helbing shared that Cisco will find Gypsy as "someone he can't stop thinking about."

"The Flash" returns on Tuesday, Jan. 24, at 8 p.m. EST on The CW.
