'The Flash' season 3 release date, spoilers news: 3 more villains confirmed
Two more characters have been confirmed to mess with the heroic speedsters in "The Flash" season 3. One is someone that fans already saw in the series and the other is a newcomer.
In the previous season, Zoom (Teddy Sears) took the form of a skeletal speedster when he was defeated by Barry (Grant Gustin). He looked a lot like Black Flash from the comics.
Black Flash is basically the grim reaper for speedsters and it was confirmed that Zoom indeed turned into the said Flash comic book character following his defeat.
"Obviously we did that on purpose," executive producer Andrew Kreisberg told Entertainment Weekly about Zoom turning into Black Flash.
"We love working with Teddy. He's such an amazing actor and amazing person and was so much a part of the success of this show last season. There aren't any immediate plans for that, but you can't keep a good Black Flash down, so I'm sure we'll be seeing him in the future," he teased.
Meanwhile, "The Flash" season 3 will also see the rise of Magenta, to be played by Joey King. In the comics, she was actually once a love interest for Wally West.
Of course, fans already know that Wally will be Kid Flash in the new season, thanks to Barry changing the past. This angle might be featured in the season.
With regards to her villainous prowess, Magenta is known to generate and control magnetic field, which in the right circumstances, allows her to fly. It is a mystery as to why she will wreak havoc in Central City.
Another confirmed villain is The Top to be played by Ashley Rickards. In the comics, the character is male and is known for being a low-level thief that makes a spinning top out of himself.
"The Flash" season 3 premieres Monday, Oct. 3 on The CW.
