'The Flash' season 3 spoilers: Mirror Master could be villain?
There are a lot of exciting happenings expected when "The Flash" season 3 comes around. Fans cannot wait for it to be here, and with good reason, too. Carlos Valdes, who plays Cisco Ramon on the show, teased what may be in store for the eagerly anticipating viewers in the upcoming season: Mirror Master as the villain.
During last month's MegaCon, Valdes shared that he wanted to have the assassin as the show's villain in the new season. According to him, this may have fans disoriented at first because season 3 begins in an "unexpected" place. He promised, though, that the payoff would be "spectacular."
As for Mirror Master, Valdes confessed he has been rooting for the assassin since the first season of the show as he felt that the visual effects supervisor on the show, Armen Kevorkian, could very well do justice to the special effects which would accompany the appearance of the character.
"I feel like with Armen's (Kevorkian) visual effects skills some magic could be done with Mirror Master. Like a multi-episode arch," Valdes shared.
The assassin is considered a master marksman who owns a weapon known as the Mirror Gun. The weapon displays several remarkable uses. It more than makes up for the fact that Mirror Master does not have any superhuman powers at all.
For instance, with the Mirror Gun, one could gain entrance into the Mirror World and move through it. With it, the bearer can cast illusions including doubles of himself or of others. It can turn others to glass, thus making it easier to destroy them by breaking.
Mirror Master, with his unique weapon, could summon mirror images of others and control them. He can focus an attack on someone's reflection and wound or even kill the real person by it. The Mirror Gun gives the assassin the capability to hypnotize others and plant false memories in anyone who goes through his mirrors.
The thought of it alone is enough to start a louder clamor for "The Flash" season 3 to come sooner, although that may not be until fall comes around.
