An upcoming episode of "The Flash" might see the characters return to Earth-2 after new set photos were recently leaked online.

According to reports, the behind-the-scenes images were from the show's Vancouver set, and it features the return of Gorilla Grodd and Jesse Quick. Some of the leaked pictures also reveal Kid Flash (Keiynan Lonsdale), Cisco (Carlos Valdes) donning his Vibe suit, and some actors standing in for the CGI versions of Savitar and Grodd. One image even shows a character that looks like Iris (Candice Patton) who was also suited up. In addition, there are speculations that two villains will have an epic battle because it's also said that Savitar was heard saying "I challenge you, Grodd!"

During The CW's four-way crossover among "Arrow," "The Flash," "Legends of Tomorrow," and "Supergirl," it was revealed that the aliens called Dominators had a longstanding truce with planet Earth that Barry (Grant Gustin) unintentionally broke when he created the Flashpoint timeline. The Dominators wanted Barry to surrender himself, or they would drop a bomb on Earth that is powerful enough to wipe out all metahumans.

Speaking with Entertainment Weekly, executive producer Andrew Kreisberg shared teasers on how the show's winter finale will take shape. He mentioned that, compared to Flashpoint, the characters will be facing a much larger threat that catches them off-guard in the said episode.

"The midseason finale, episode 9, kind of creates a new problem for our heroes that they weren't anticipating, something that they've never faced before," Kreisberg said. "It's so big, we're actually considering changing the saga sell, [the opening intro], from talking about Flashpoint to talking about that, because that's really what's driving the episodes for the rest of the season. Flashpoint won't loom as large as the challenge that presents itself in 309," he went on to say.

"The Flash" season 3 airs every Tuesday night at 8 p.m. ET on The CW.
