"The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild" has been anticipated for so long, expecting that it will come out with the equally awaited Nintendo Switch, formerly known as Nintendo NX. However, enthusiasts are saddened by the news that the title may not come out as scheduled.

"The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild" is slated for a March 2017 release, which should come alongside with Nintendo Switch. However, fans were dismayed by the news that the release date will be delayed due to the many tests the title has to undergo before being made available to the public.

Fortunately, "The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild" has just been announced to grace The Game Awards show, which will be held tomorrow, Dec. 1. The news was initially hinted by the organizer of the event, Geoff Keighley, who took it to Twitter to show a specific logo that "Zelda" fans are familiar with.

The logo is called the Sheikah Slate, a technology forward item that has multiple uses. The item was featured in a footage shown at the Nintendo Treehouse event at this year's Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3), in which Link was seen waking up in a seemingly extraterrestrial place. When he stood up, he was given the Sheikah Slate. After Keighley posted the logo, he then tweeted another image that shows blatantly the appearance of "The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild" at the event. His post just confirmed that indeed, the most awaited title will be shown.

However, it is unclear whether "The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild" will be presented as a new trailer or if players can get hold of the game, at least, by means of a gameplay demo.

As for the release date, "The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild" still has no given release date yet, but fans are keeping high hopes that it will come in due time. After all, the game is confirmed to be in development and is still undergoing quality assurance inspection.
