'The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild' update: title may not come out with Nintendo Switch; still slated for a 2017 launch date
"The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild" may or may not come with Nintendo Switch, according to the recent buzz circulating around the different gaming websites. Apparently, a delay is happening in the development of the title, so the release schedule may not coincide with the upcoming console.
Enthusiasts of "The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild" have been following the title's progress ever since it was announced. It can be recalled that the game is already anticipated for its unique gameplay, as well as its availability for Nintendo Switch, which was then called Nintendo NX.
There is news, however, that the launch schedule of "The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild" may not come into fulfillment following the meticulous playtesting it has to undergo before a public release. That is according to Nintendo tipster Emily Rogers who reportedly disclosed the game's schedule to Eurogamer.
The leaker said that "four-to-six months of testing will follow" before "The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild" will be released. The publication also wrote that Nintendo is making sure that the release of the game will be "in as close to a perfect" state following its lengthy development.
Meanwhile, online retailer GameStop forecasted that "The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild" will come out in due time when Nintendo releases the Switch in March. However, tipster Laura Kate Dale, took it to Twitter to post that the gaming shop has backed down its prediction for "The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild" as the game is generally slated to come out in 2017. However, she did not say the specific time frame of the launch.
Nintendo already stated that "The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild" is estimated to come out in 2017, and their statement has not changed even if Nintendo Switch was announced last month.
