'The Originals' season 4 air date, spoilers & plot rumors: Fans speculate that Caroline from 'TVD' will appear

As of now, audiences expect "The Originals" to be prepping for its final season which is set to come out sometime next year. Fans have been speculating as to what is going to happen in the show. Some guess that "The Vampire Diaries" character Caroline (Candice King) will be crossing over to the series and she will have an affair with Klaus (Joseph Morgan).

According to reports, fans initially suspected that Klaus was going to end up with Camille (Leah Pipes), but after her death in the show, it looks like that ship has officially sailed — if not, sunk. Some are also doubtful of the romance between Caroline and Klaus since she is already engaged to Stefan (Paul Wesley).

Even if this is the case, some still believe that there is a possibility that Caroline will want to rekindle her romance with Klaus. Some are even guessing that she will be the one coming to New Orleans to free him from the trap that Marcel (Charles Michael Davis) put him in.

At the end of the last season, the lives of the Mikaelsons were left hanging by a thread, and its Klaus' survival that will lead to their redemption. As of now, fans are expecting the Mikaelsons to be saved by Hope (Summer Fortana), but some still want to see Caroline turn up and be Klaus' savior. After all, executive producer Julie Plec has confirmed that there will be a "The Vampire Diaries" and "The Originals" crossover. She didn't go into full detail, however.

Plec has also said in an interview with Entertainment Weekly that Hope will have a reunion with her father at some point in the season. She said, "We'll get to see father and daughter eventually reunited, two strangers coming together with so much in common. There's some really special moments between them."

Fans should expect the fourth season of "The Originals" to come out sometime next year on The CW.
