'The Originals' season 4 cast news, spoilers: Christina Moses boards series as bisexual werewolf; Claire Holt returning?
"The Originals" season 4 will introduce another werewolf into the mix.
"Containment" actress Christina Moses is joining the cast of The CW's horror/fantasy series in the recurring role of Keelin, Deadline has learned.
Keelin is said to be a "smart, strong, resourceful" emergency room doctor who also happens to be the last living werewolf of her line. She is also openly bisexual and "warm and unguarded by nature." However, after her family is hunted to extinction, Keelin goes into hiding and has since avoided getting too emotionally attached to others. She is said to be living in fear of being found by the wrong people and has no clue that her path is about to cross that of the Mikaelsons'.
Moses' Keelin will debut early into "The Originals" season 4, which won't air until midseason next year.
Moses is best known for playing the role of Jana Mayfield in The CW's "Containment," which is also executive produced by "The Originals" creator and EP Julie Plec. The actress has also had guest leads in "Rosewood" and in "Roadies," and played a lead role in the indie film "How We Met" (2016).
Meanwhile, Access Hollywood recently caught up with Claire Holt, who may or may not be reprising her role as Rebekah Mikaelson in "The Originals" season 4.
When asked if there is a possibility of fans seeing Rebekah back on the series, Holt expressed her openness to returning and said that despite her work on NBC's "Aquarius," she would be willing to come back. However, the actress also indicated that this would be up to the show's producers and that she couldn't say with certainty whether or not Rebekah will re-appear in "The Originals."
"I hope to," she said, pointing out that the character's fate was left open-ended at the conclusin of the last season.
"If all goes to plan, then Rebekah will be back," she added.
"The Originals" season 4 debuts in 2017.
