'The Originals' season 4 spoilers: Hope might be the one to bring Klaus' downfall

Baby Hope, who is baby no more in "The Originals" season 4, has so much power flowing through her that she could both be her father Klaus Mikaelson's (Joseph Morgan) saving grace and destruction.

In an interview with TVInsider, Morgan said that his daughter might be the one to end him. After every attempt of every enemy he made, it is Hope that could end his life after all.

"His savior or his downfall?" Morgan mused when he was asked if Hope will be the one to help Klaus get out of the mess he is in with Marcel (Charles Michael Davis) in "The Originals" season 4.

"How old would she have to be to kill her father? She could have a lot of resentment. I have always felt Hope would be the key to everything," he continued.

Thanks to a time jump, Hope will be five years old in "The Originals" season 4. All those years, Klaus was imprisoned by his surrogate son, stripping him off the opportunity to see his precious little girl grow up.

Hope will definitely show more of her abilities next season. In the previous season, some of that was shown and it will certainly be exciting to see how she handles her powers five years later.

With regards to Marcel, Morgan said that Klaus understands where he is coming from and why he did the things he did, but the werewolf venom potion definitely made a monster out of him.

Despite Marcel's actions, Klaus will not opt to kill him, at least not when he is useful to him and it is "necessary for his survival."

"The bond with Marcel is one of the show's foundations. That's why it was so hurtful to Klaus when his brother Elijah (Daniel Gillies) tore out Marcel's heart," the actor explained.

Morgan added that Marcel and Klaus will not bury the hatchet anytime soon, but he teased that "The Originals" season 4 "could be the beginning of a war," adding that "There will be a score to settle, for sure."

"The Originals" season 4 will premiere next year on The CW.
