'The Originals' season 4 spoilers, plot news: Klaus to settle score with Marcel; friendship over?
When the previous season of "The Originals" ended, it appeared that Klaus (Joseph Morgan) and Marcel's (Charles Michael Davis) friendship will no longer be saved.
Their relationship is about to get even more complicated in "The Originals" season 4, which will start five years after Marcel avenged the death of Davina (Danielle Campbell).
"The indignity of Klaus Mikaelson's situation the last five years [is being] held captive by his surrogate son and forced to be an advisor to a king that he does not recognize," executive producer Julie Plec revealed to Entertainment Weekly.
"Also, [he knows] Marcel is actually singularly responsible for the fact he's alive because so many people have come to town in the last five years desperate to see him reduced to ash," she added.
Back in the San Diego Comic Con, Morgan himself teased that he will be reacting "violently" towards Marcel since he reciprocated Klaus' love with betrayal.
However, at the same time, he understands where he is coming from. "That does not mean he's going to act any less violently though to Marcel. I feel like the end is coming for these two. I'm excited to see it," Morgan teased to TVOvermind.
With that said, it appears that Klaus will still have revenge in his mind. However, being held prisoner by Marcel caused him to miss the last five years of his daughter Hope's life.
Klaus will eventually see Hope in "The Originals" season 4, but it remains to be seen how. It is being rumored that the little girl will be of great help in the situation of her parents and family.
Hope possesses an unthinkable amount of power being a daughter of Klaus and a new layer of her abilities could be shown in "The Originals" season 4.
"The Originals" season 4 will premiere early next year on The CW.
