'The Originals' Season 4 update, rumors, spoilers: 5-year time jump will show Hope's powers; Klaus returns to his wicked ways?
The fourth season of CW's supernatural drama series "The Originals" will feature a five-year time jump after the events of the Season 3 finale. The next chapter is expected to showcase a lot of changes in the characters and in the setting, and most importantly, the viewers will see for the first time the grown-up version of Niklaus Mikaelson's hybrid daughter, Hope. The last three seasons featured Hope as a baby, and in Season 4, the people will know that she is now capable of doing as a child.
After the time jump, the series will also show the Original vampires waking up from years of slumber. After all the events that transpired before they were put in a magically-induced coma, Klaus may experience some kind of changes, although it may not turn out for the best. Klaus's actor, Joseph Morgan, revealed during his interview with Hypable at the San Diego Comic-Con 2016 that the Original hybrid is not pleased with how things turned out for him and his family. One of the tragic events in his life is the death of his human-turned-vampire lover, Camille. Therefore, there may be some hints that the cold-hearted character of Klaus that was featured in the first few seasons of "The Originals" and "The Vampire Diaries" will come back when he finally wakes up in Season 4.
However, Klaus will also be looking forward to his reunion with Hope, who is now a young girl after many years that the family was separated. Morgan revealed that there will be some father and daughter reunion moments in the upcoming season that he is very excited about.
Many fans believe that Niklaus' daughter will be the savior of the Mikaelsons. This is possible because Hope is a witch, although for the past three seasons, she could not be a big help for her family as she was still a baby. However, executive producer Michael Narducci revealed in an interview with TV Line that there is going to be a time jump before the fourth season starts next year, and the viewers should watch out for the interesting changes in the show.
"We are going to have a little bit of a time jump in between when the story ends at the end of the finale and when we pick up in Season 4. That experience in the time jump will be similar to what the audience is feeling. To me, in a way, it actually makes sense," Narducci said.
