'The Walking Dead' Spoilers, News: Rick Plans a Coup at Alexandria Safe Zone

"The Walking Dead" returns on Sunday, March 8, at 9/8c on AMC with a new episode titled "Forget."

Indications point to Rick (Andrew Lincoln) and some members of his gang plotting to take over the Alexandria Safe Zone. However, spoilers indicate that their plan will be stalled by a member of their own group who has come to like the safe zone.

There were signs last week that Rick was planning a takeover when he told Daryl (Norman Reedus) and Carol (Melissa McBride) that if they could not make the safe zone work, they could just take control of the facility.

In the upcoming episode, it appears that Rick has recruited Daryl and Carol and possibly Glenn (Steven Yeun) to set his plan in motion. Spoilers also indicate that a part of the plan will include a "covert mission," but a resident of Alexandria will spot one of them during the mission.

Rick plans to recover their impounded weapons but since he is being watched continuously, he wants somebody else other than Daryl to steal the weapons.

A sneak peek of the next episode shows that Daryl and Aaron (Ross Marquand) will end up fighting walkers outside the safe zone. After the fight, Aaron will be impressed with Daryl's ability to tell the difference between a walker and a human by just listening to the sounds they create.

Sasha (Sonequa Martin-Green) will have an important part to play in "Forget" as she is assigned to patrol outside the safe zone. There she will end up shooting photographs as part of target practice and then will use the sound to bait walkers.

Daryl could eventually become the person to convince Rick to give the safe zone a chance because he will start to like Aaron, according to The Spoiling Dead Fans. This will happen after Aaron invites Daryl to dinner, shows him a number of motorcycle parts and then offers him the job of recruiter.
