Sony has finally unveiled the enhanced version of the PlayStation 4 console earlier this month. The PlayStation 4 Pro is expected to bring the players' gaming experience to a whole new level. With this latest console upgrade, the players can now witness this generation's biggest game titles in full 4K display resolution. The PS4 Pro is also adding other features not included in the PS4 base model, making the experience more thrilling and exciting for the gamers. As Sony announced the video games supporting the PS4 Pro, many fans are wondering if CD Projekt's highly popular game title "The Witcher 3" will also get the patch update for the latest console version.

Unfortunately, as far as CD Projekt Red is concerned, developing "The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt" to adapt to PS4 Pro 4's features is not their main priority at the moment. Some people might think that releasing a patch update for the video game to support a new console system is not quite the hassle. The truth is that it would take much time and effort for the developers to redevelop the entire contents of the game, more so transforming them to support 4K feature.

As reported by Game N Guide, Digital Foundry executive Tom Organ revealed that the public cannot expect a patch update for "The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt" in time for the release of the PS4 Pro consoles. For one, Digital Foundry, the game's publisher, and CD Projekt Red are still busy with other upcoming game titles. They still have "Cyberpunk 2077" and "Gwent" that are slated for release in the coming years. They might not have the time to issue a PS4 Pro patch update for "The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt," given that doing so will be a tedious work for them.

"Since we want to fully focus on Cyberpunk 2077 and Gwent, and converting The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt from a full HD game into a 4K one (on console) would be too much of a time and resource-consuming process, we decided not to release an edition of Wild Hunt supporting the new features of PlayStation Pro," CD Project Red revealed in an interview with the Eurogamer.

For those who are after the full 4K experience of "The Witcher 3," the game currently supports that feature in the PC platform. For now, the fans may have to wait until CD Projekt Red decides to bring the 4K experience to the PS4 Pro as well.

So far, "Call of Duty: Black Ops III" and "Deux Ex: Mankind Divided" are some of the game titles announced by Sony to receive a patch update to support PS4 Pro's latest visual features.
