'The Witcher 3 Wild Hunt' Release Date News: Pre-Order Bonus Includes Map
"The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt" continues to generate a lot of buzz ahead of its release on May 19. Attention has been turning to the bonuses being offered when the game is pre-ordered. Added to this, the studio behind the game CD Projekt Red released a trailer showcasing sections of gameplay and the complex world in it.
The trailer of the game has been rated "M," or for mature gamers only, just like the game itself. "The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt" is filled with a load of mature content.
The trailer provides a quick overview of what players can expect from it. The game features racism, war crimes, fantasy, deadly creatures, magic, monsters and more.
All this is fitted into the open world structure as gamers will step into the shoes of the protagonist Geralt once again.
As for the monsters, the trailer shows that they are as deadly as the human enemies Geralt will face in the game. They are all over the countryside, attacking merchants and others who are unfortunate enough to encounter them.
PC Gamer notes that the gameplay trailer was designed to appeal to those who are not familiar with the gaming series.
As for the pre-order bonuses being provided by CD Projekt Red, early indications are that they will include a "Landscapes" theme for the PS4 console. This static theme which is 8.8mb in size was spotted by a person who pre-ordered the game on the U.S.-based PlayStation Store.
However, it appears that the theme is only available to those who pre-order the digital version of the game via the PlayStation Store in the U.S. There is no news on whether it will be provided worldwide or offered separately.
Gamespot also reported that the studio is providing a world map for free when "The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt" is pre-ordered. The map indicates that the open world structure of the game will be massive and several times bigger than the entire map available in Skyrim.
