'The Young and the Restless' spoilers news: Steve Burton announces departure; Phyllis discovers Jack's plan
Events that are going to take place next in "The Young and the Restless" are still kept under wraps for now but an update on one of its cast member has surfaced recently.
According to reports, Steve Burton announced that he is going to depart the soap opera soon. Burton plays the role of Dylan McAvoy. He said via Twitter that after "lots of reflection," he has come up with the decision to move on from the show by the time his contract ends in December.
"I've had an amazing time, but it feels right to move on to new adventures in my life," Burton wrote.
He then went on to express his appreciation for the cast and crew, as well as to the network that has given him a "great ride." He also thanked everyone for the support. He didn't mention anything about when his final appearance on "The Young and Restless" will be.
There is also no word regarding recasting the character. But considering that Justin Hartley also just left his role as Adam Newman, "The Young and the Restless" is expected to have new faces soon to fill up the vacancies.
Meanwhile, Inquisitr detailed that a war may be happening between the Newman and Abbott family. Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott) will try to convince Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) to patch things up with Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman). She will also try to urge Jack to cancel his plans of revenge. The war between the two will surely destroy the family.
Jack will tell Nikki that he has other things going on so he has no time for Victor. But Phyllis (Gina Tognoni) will find out otherwise. She will snoop around Jack's desk to see what he is up to. She will be surprised with what she will find and will be caught up with what to do. Spoilers suggest that Phyllis will act to stop Jack from pushing through with his plans.
"The Young and the Restless" airs from Monday to Friday on CBS.
