"The Young and the Restless" will air dramatic episodes this week. Y&R airs weekdays on CBS.

The story will revolve around Billy (David Tom), Chelsea (Melissa Claire Egan), Phyllis (Michelle Stafford) and Mariah (Camryn Grimes).

Y&R teases the Christmas spirit in Genoa City. Because the holidays are nearing, the Genoa residents start putting up Christmas trees. Chelsea will surprise Kevin (Greg Rikaart) with the DNA results of Billy's daughter.

As the story progresses, it looks like the much-awaited love story between Mariah and Kevin will start to get real. Kevin makes a grand gesture of making Mariah her own Christmas tree.

Here is a short recap and some spoilers for this week's episodes.

Hilary introduces Gwen (Liza Huber) to Devon (Bryton James) and tells her that she is a conservative woman. When the two meet in person, however, she is very different from how Hilary (Mishael Morgan) described her. To Hilary's surprise, Devon and Gwen get along pretty well. This makes Hilary uncomfortable and not too happy about the two enjoying each other's company.

Gwen, Lily, Devon and Neil meet up for lunch. Lily and Neil become suspicious of the budding relationship between Devon and Gwen. Gwen finally asks Devon out after the lunch date.

Meanwhile, Summer (Hunter Haley King) and Mariah are in conflict once again because of Phyllis, Sharon (Sharon Case) and Faith. Phyllis talks with Michael, telling him about his future plans. Kelly, on the other hand, lashes out at Jack and accuses him of betraying her and making her fall in love.

Michael finds out about his Stage 3 cancer and the doctor explains to him his treatment options. Although he is shocked by the news, he is determined not to die too soon.

When Phyllis visits Jack to his office, drama arises as they argue about Kelly being involved in their wedding arrangements.
