Everybody knows that the Hulk (Mark Ruffalo) is going to appear in "Thor: Ragnarok." And Thor (Chris Hemsworth) is certainly going to be in the movie as well. After all, he's the titular character. Now, it looks like "Thor: Ragnarok" isn't just an intergalactic buddy film featuring those two because a former-surgeon-turned-Sorcerer Supreme is going to appear as the third wheel to their little bromance.

Doctor Strange's (Benedict Cumberbatch) involvement in "Thor: Ragnarok" was already hinted after writer Daley Pearson posted an on-set photo of Thor holding a business card with the address "177A Bleecker St" — the address of the Sanctum Sanctorum. Thor was also seen in the post-credits scene in "Doctor Strange." But an article on Disney's official fan club, D23, finally gave the confirmation fans have been waiting for — Earth's mystical defender is definitely going to be in the film.

The article reads: "If you need even more intergalactic, world-saving action, Thor: Ragnarok in November brings together Thor, the Hulk, and Doctor Strange to face off against intergalactic baddies both familiar and new."

So, how big a role will he play in "Thor: Ragnarok"? Slash Film's Angie Han believes that it will only be a cameo since Marvel Studios couldn't possibly keep the thing wrapped up for so long if the character has a bigger role in the film.

However, Ryan Scott of MovieWeb thinks Doctor Strange's role may be larger than expected. "This statement from D23 makes it seem as though Stephen Strange could wind up having a pretty significant part in the movie, though, since they list him as if he is a core cast member," he stated.

Right now, it remains to be seen if Doctor Strange will be joining the two in their road trip to Sakaar. Perhaps he'll just sit back and wait at the Sanctum Sanctorum.

"Thor: Ragnarok" is scheduled to hit theaters on Nov. 3.
