Tim Tebow Signs One Year Contract with Philadelphia Eagles
Christian football player Tim Tebow has reportedly signed a one year contract with NFL team the Philadelphia Eagles this week after the player took a break from professional sports to serve as an analyst for ESPN.
Multiple media outlets confirmed Monday that Tebow had been signed to the Eagles officially, just as their offseason practice begins.
The Philadelphia Eagles also shared a photo on their official Instagram account of Tebow signing his contract next to an Eagles helmet with the caption: "Welcome to the City of Brotherly Love, @TimTebow! #FlyEaglesFly."
Tebow has previously played for the Denver Broncos and the New York Jets before being released by the New England Patriots ahead of the 2014 season.
Tebow then took a job working as an analyst for ESPN's SEC Network, and although he announced that he was grateful for the job, he also confirmed that he would not give up his dream to continue playing as an NFL quarterback.
"I will remain in relentless pursuit of continuing my lifelong dream of being an NFL quarterback," Tebow tweeted shortly after being released by the New England Patriots.
Tebow also previously told the Associated Press that he feels he is still in tip-top shape and worthy to play professionally for the NFL.
"I feel like I'm the best that I've ever been as a quarterback right now," Tebow told the media outlet. "I hope I get the opportunity to show that. But I'm also looking forward to being part of 'SEC Nation' and part of ESPN."
