'Titanfall 2' latest news: Upcoming update features new 'Live Fire' game mode, maps, and more
Game developer Respawn Entertainment has recently announced that a free update is currently in the works for their popular shooter video game "Titanfall 2." In this next patch, the video game will offer a new pilot-only mode called "Live Fire" to its multiplayer mode. Two new maps will also be introduced, and these will only be playable in the new game mode.
According to the video game's official website, "Live Fire" is a "fast-paced" and "intense" six-on-six multiplayer game mode without any Titans involved. The new mode will feature a round-based best-of-five format with no respawns, and the teams are given one minute to eradicate all the members of the enemy squad.
If, after the full minute allotted has passed, there are still a number of players remaining from each side, the winning team is decided by whoever possesses the neutral flag by the time the timer hits zero.
As reported by Polygon, two new maps, called Stacks and Meadow, will be added to the upcoming "Live Fire" game mode of "Titanfall 2." Respawn described both maps as "tight, enclosed death boxes designed specifically for the fast-paced, intense nature of the mode."
The upcoming title update of the acclaimed video game will also be introducing a new Coliseum map called Columns, a new Pilot execution animation, and "multiple new Commander intros for each faction." The update may also introduce a new interface for the game's playlist screen.
This coming update and all of its content will be free. In fact, "Live Fire" is the second free major content update for "Titanfall 2." The first update was delivered at the end of November last year, and it added Angel City to the video game. The last update also featured new weapons, a new kit for the Titans, and a new pilot execution.
"Titanfall 2" is now available for the Windows PC, PlayStation 4, and the Xbox One.
