Respawn Entertainment will continue releasing free DLCs for "Titanfall 2," and new details about the upcoming map and modes have been revealed.

The first DLC that players can expect is the Live Fire multiplayer mode, which will come out in February. The multiplayer mode pits two teams of six against each other, with each round spanning one minute. Players must defeat the opposing team or get the flag before the time runs out to win. Maps specially designed for the mode will also be included in the DLC.

According to designer Griffin Dean, the new maps are built with a particular design that forces confrontation and lets players focus on combat. Respawn announced the two maps for Live Fire earlier this month: Stacks and Meadow. Another map for the game's Coliseum mode, called Columns, will be launched as well.

"Live Fire maps are designed around controlled sightlines, choke points, and flank routes," he explained. "These aren't reactionary encounters: It's best to have a game plan. You know where your enemy is coming from and you must utilize your abilities and mobility to outplay them. If you manage to flank your opponents, you can devastate their ranks," Dean went on to say.

Additionally, the Colony map from the original "Titanfall' game will be added to the next update. While that content will be accessible for free, the developer has confirmed additional paid content arriving in March. The DLCs are in the form of execution animations, Prime Titans, and new cosmetics. Respawn posted an accompanying blog post, and they revealed that the classic Colony map is "starting to look great with a new coat of paint."

Respawn has yet to announce an official release date for the new DLCs.

Developed by Respawn Entertainment and published by Electronic Arts, "Titanfall 2" is available on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Microsoft Windows PC.
