Recent games that have been coming out usually have been requiring players to install heavy patches, but "Titanfall 2" players are in for good news. The upcoming patch will be less than 100 MB.

The news comes from Respawn Entertainment boss, Vince Zampella, and he posted on Twitter that gamers only needed to clear 88 MB for the patch.

Playstation Lifestyle said this means that the developers of "Titanfall 2" have optimized and polished the game enough so that players wouldn't need any big updates for the game.

Since downloadable content (DLC) has become a continuous trend, developers seem to be releasing games that need constant patches and upgrades. Before DLCs, developers had to make sure that the games they released were 100 percent bulletproof because there was no way for them to fix problems after the users bought them.

With DLCs, developers have the luxury of fixing any problems that they might have missed upon release. At the same time, however, this has led to some incomplete games finding their way to consumers.

One example would be EA's "Star Wars Battlefront." Upon its release, hundreds of fans were complaining that the game felt incomplete because a ton of the other features could only be attained by purchasing the DLC which cost about $60.

As for "Titanfall 2," the game will be featuring a ton of new characters and titans. The titans themselves have been given unique names and abilities with Scorch's speciality being fire, Northstar being a sniper titan that can fly, and Legion getting access to a mini gun.

Other new titans in the game are Tone, a titan which focuses on trapping enemies so it can deal maximum damage; Ronin, a titan that utilizes a sword; and Ion, a titan that emits a giant laser from its chest a la Iron Man.

Pre-order is still up for the game, and anybody interested still has time to pick it up for the special extras and treats.

"Titanfall 2" hits shelves on Oct. 28.
