'Tom Clancy's The Division' latest news, update: Survival expansion update, PS4 Pro support patch now available
The open world third-person shooter video game "Tom Clancy's The Division," developed by Ubisoft Massive, has recently released the Survival DLC expansion for PlayStation 4 and a patch for supporting PlayStation 4 Pro.
"We're happy to announce that our second expansion to The Division, Survival, is now available for PlayStation 4," the game's development team announced in the games official website.
"We've also released our first Playstation 4 Pro upgrade patch, enabling higher resolution and improved framerates for all our players on PS4 Pro (irrespective if they own Survival or not)," they added.
The Survival DLC is the second expansion to "The Division," and it is designed as a survival fantasy game in which gamers are tasked to scavenge for supplies and gear in order to stay alive amidst an intense snow storm. Gamers are also expected to be exposed to different kinds of dangers and horrors along the way.
The Survival update was released for the Xbox One and Windows PC in November. The DLC update has only been made available for PS4 since Tuesday, Dec. 20.
As reported by Mobile & Apps, "The Division" Survival DLC is 2.65GB in size, and it brings a lot of new perks that players could enjoy. The latest DLC can be downloaded for free by those who already own a season pass. However, for those who are without a season pass, the Survival DLC can be availed for $14.99.
As for the new PS4 pro patch, Gaming Bolt reports that the latest patch updates the graphical fidelity of the video game, allowing for a better depiction of shadows and reflections. The update also allows the UI of the game to be rendered in 4K resolution. However, the game itself will still be rendered in 1080p.
According to Neurogadget, the last paid DLC that will be released for "The Division" will be the "Last Stand" expansion, which is expected to roll out sometime in early 2017.
