'Total War: Warhammer' DLC release date, news & update: Gamers can get Grombrindal the White Dwarf for free
Avid gamers of the turn-based strategy video game "Total War: Warhammer" just received an early gift for the holidays. Creative Assembly recently announced that players will be given the opportunity to have the legendary lord Grombrindal the White Dwarf for free.
As revealed in the Steam website for "Total War: Warhammer," gamers can only attain the Legendary Lord if they manage to get their hands on the exclusive Steam key. Players can employ three different ways to get the key. One simple way is by purchasing the November 2016 White Dwarf issue, which is the third installment of the Warhammer magazine. Gamers can purchase a copy of the magazine from independent retailers, newstands, news agents and Games Workshop and Warhammer Stores. Players can also purchase a copy from the Games Workshop website.
For those who plan on purchasing from Games Workshop & Warhammer stories, players simply need to ask a staff member for their free Grombrindal Steam key card. These key cards will be available in the stores until Jan. 3, 2017 or until stocks are depleted. Hence, it would be ideal if gamers visit the stores as soon as they can.
Aside from getting a free character, the key card will grant fans a 20 percent discount on "Total War: Warhammer." Players who don't want to purchase the magazine and for those who've missed their chance for a key card, the video game developers will eventually make Grombrindal available in the game. However, gamers who don't have the key card can still get access to the Legendary Lord but at a later date. According to their announcement on Steam, the character will be added towards the end of 2017.
For the uninitiated, Grombrindal reportedly has the ability to replicate the power of any of the Dwarf deities. The "Grimnir Has No Fear," his special skill, allows gamers to have powerful melee attacks and defense. Moreover, the character's "Flash Bomb" is capable of blinding or slowing down enemies during battle.
