Actor Tracy Morgan has recently spoken out on his lawsuit against Walmart regarding a car crash from earlier this year, saying he "can't believe" the retail giant is blaming him for the accident.

Morgan filed a lawsuit against Walmart after he and several of his friends were injured in a car accident on the New Jersey turnpike earlier this year. He and his friends had been travelling in a limo bus when it was hit by a Walmart truck. While Morgan suffered injuries to his ribs and legs, one of his friends, comedian James McNair, died as a result of the accident.

Walmart countered Morgan's lawsuit by suggesting the actor should be held partly accountable for his injuries, as he wasn't wearing a seatbelt at the time of the collision. The retail giant said in papers filed on Monday that Morgan's injuries were "caused, in whole or in part, by plaintiffs' failure to properly wear an appropriate available seat belt restraint device."

The actor, known for his role on "30 Rock" and his standup comedy, shot back at Walmart on Tuesday, saying in a statement via his publicist that: "After I heard what Walmart said in court I felt I had to speak out. I can't believe Walmart is blaming me for an accident that they caused. My friends and I were doing nothing wrong. I want to thank my fans for sticking with me during this difficult time. I love you all. I'm fighting hard every day to get back."
