Over the weekend, Naughty Dog has released a new patch for "Uncharted 4: A Thief's End" focusing on multiplayer and survival modes.

According to reports, the new update introduces a Hardcore version for the Survival mode. This feature requires players to keep their team alive for the entire 50 waves, as getting killed will put them back to the start of the game. Aside from the usual bug fixes and balance improvements, the patch also re-introduces the Classic mode in the beta test playlist. Back by popular request, the Classic mode enables players to do away with the sidekicks and mysticals and place more focus and emphasis on standard combat.

The next ranked season is about to begin, so new rewards and tweaks are expected to come to the game's progression system. For further details about the latest patch, full patch notes from Naughty Dog can be viewed here.

In other news, "Uncharted 4" has recently won yet another award. The action-adventure video game took home the Outstanding Achievement in Character Animation Award for a video game at the Annie Awards on Saturday. Other nominees in the category were "The Witcher 3's" 2016 expansion packs (Blood and Wine), "Titanfall 2," and the mobile game "Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Legends."

The Annie Awards is an event that celebrates animation efforts done across various mediums such as video games, movies, and TV. Outstanding Achievement in Character Animation is the sole video game-related category at the annual event. In December, the game scored multiple awards at The Game Awards, including Best Narrative and Best Performance for Nolan North's portrayal of Nathan Drake. It also received nominations for the same categories at the upcoming SXSW Awards and Game Developers Choice Awards.

Developed by Naughty Dog and published by Sony Computer Entertainment, "Uncharted 4: A Thief's End" is exclusively available for PlayStation 4.
