Utah Man Credits God, Prayer After Wife Saved Him From Crushing SUV
A Utah husband recently credited his wife's premonition that he was in danger to prayer and God's spirit.
43-year-old Scott Mayhew of Saratoga Springs, Utah recently told media outlet that he was working on his family's SUV in the garage this past Monday when the car's jack gave way, crushing him under the weight of the vehicle.
Mayhew says that as he lay stuck under the vehicle, he prayed to God that his wife, Nicole, would come home and save him.
"I just knew if I hung on long enough, my prayers would be answered and she would know to come home," Mayhew told the local Good4Utah of his wife's feeling.
Nicole also tells media outlets that while she was at work, she had a premonition that her husband was in trouble, and rushed home to find him stuck under their SUV.
"I just said I need to go check on him working on the car I just believe a spirit told me," Nicole told the local Fox 13 station, adding that when she found her husband, he told her he had been praying for her to come home and save him.
Nicole reportedly called an ambulance, and Scott has since been treated for six broken ribs and some internal damage done by the crushing weight of the car.
"I believe that you know there's angels around us and my religion. My Heavenly Father was with him," Nicole told WDAM-TV.
Police and rescue crews have said that Scott would likely have not fared as well if his wife had not come to rescue him at that time following the incident.
