Model/actress Cara Delevingne has been invited to walk the runway in this year's hotly anticipated Victoria's Secret Fashion Show 2016 following a tabloid's claim that she was turned down during a previous year for being "too bloated."

Last week, The Sun published an article, which has since been deleted, claiming that the 24-year-old model was not picked to walk during the Victoria's Secret Fashion Show 2014 because her weight did not meet the brand's standards. The article also detailed the strict audition process models have to go through before they are bestowed the chance to walk in the highly coveted show.

This weekend, Delevingne shared a picture of a letter from Victoria's Secret. In it, the company denied the claims made by The Sun. The lingerie brand also invited the "Suicide Squad" actress to participate in the upcoming Victoria's Secret Fashion Show 2016 in Paris.

In the letter, which was signed by Victoria's Secret chief marketing officer Edward Razek, the company said that the British tabloid's claims were complete fabrication and that the paper did not fact check the details they published with Razek.

Razek also wrote that Delevingne was the first person invited to walk in the Victoria's Secret Fashion Show 2014.

"Victoria's Secret made every effort to have you in the London show," he wrote. "I know, because I was the one making the effort. As a matter of fact, you were the first person invited, months ahead of anyone else."

"There was NO casting," he added. "You had already been enthusiastically confirmed."

But Delevingne was unable to participate in the Fashion Show due to her filming commitments.

"We tried hard to have you there," Razek said. "You would have made the show better, as you do anything and everything you're involved in," he added.

Razek concluded the letter by extending an invitation for Delavingne to appear in this year's show, saying, "As always, we'd love to have you."

Delevingne has not walked the Victoria's Secret Fashion Show since 2013.
