'Vikings' season 4B air date, spoilers: Ragnar returns to Kattegat; Aslaug and Lagertha fight for the throne

"Vikings" season 4B premieres on Nov. 30. | History Asia

The return of "Vikings" for the second half of season 4 is approaching fast, which means fans of the Irish-Canadian historical drama series will find out very soon what happens next to Ragnar (Travis Fimmel) his exile as a result of his humiliating defeat against his brother Rollo (Clive Standen).

According to spoilers, season 4B will show Ragnar returning to his family and land. It's also said that he will be stepping down as king of Kattegat and will let Bjorn (Alexander Ludwig) take charge over the revenge plot against Wessex.

It's also detailed in IGN that there will be no conflict between Bjorn and his brothers. As the eldest, Bjorn has nothing but love for his younger siblings and he even acknowledges their potential, including Ivar the boneless (Alex Hogh Andersen). Meanwhile Floki (Gustaf Skarsgard) will be standing by Bjorn's side as they journey to the Mediterranean.

Spoilers also revealed that Ragnar will age but contrary to the rumors that he will meet his demise, reports said that he will stay alive at least in the beginning. He will be mentoring his sons, especially Ivar, who has always had a special place in his heart.

Despite Ivar's disability, Ragnar believes in his son's mental capabilities and what he can do even as a cripple. However, spoilers suggested that Ragnar will eventually meet his death in the series.

report also cited that "Vikings" season 4 episode 11 titled "The Outsider" will have Lagertha (Katheryn Winnick) and Queen Aslaug (Alyssa Sutherland) battle over the throne.

There is a bigger chance that Lagertha will win in the end but Queen Aslaug will protest and try to bring back what she claims is rightfully hers. She will insist that she is the true owner of the throne since she is the former wife of Ragnar. But will Queen Aslaug be successful in her fight?

"Vikings" season 4B will premiere Wednesday, Nov. 30, at at 9:00 p.m. EDT only on History.
