Entering his seventh season in the National Basketball Association, John Wall of the Washington Wizards is hoping that he will get back on track after going through surgeries during the summer.

Wall underwent procedures on both knees and is hoping to make it back in time for the start of the 2016–17 season.

Many of the Wizards' fans are wondering about the star's health and whether he will be the same player following the procedures, but Wall assured everyone that everything is fine.

"I'm right where I'm supposed to be but I'm not in no rush. I'm just taking it day by day and just hopeful that I'm ready for the opening of the season," the player told the press, as reported by the Washington Post.

Wall went through the surgery back in May and is still in rehabilitation at the moment. His left knee required a more serious procedure as it was potentially dangerous if left untreated for long.

But the team remains focused on establishing Wall's strength in his legs and are hopeful that he can make it in time.

In case he does not get back in time to start the season, Fan Sided mentioned that they have a few players who can cover for Wall in his absence.

Trey Burke is a solid point guard while Tomas Satoransky can also be an option on the one spot.

If they wish to get new players, then Mario Chalmers and Ty Lawson are some key options that they can pick up in the absence of Wall.

While these players may be enough for the meantime, Wall's numbers speak for themselves.

A three-time All-Star, Wall averages around 18 points, 4.5 rebounds, and 9.0 assists per game while playing 36 minutes per contest.

He is also a decent shooter as he makes 43 percent of his attempts and 32 percent from beyond the arc.

Having him back on the floor is the priority for the Wizards so that they can try to make a splash in the Eastern Conference.
