'Watch Dogs 2' news: Latest trailer reveals new hacking, character customization features in game
The latest gameplay walkthrough video for the upcoming first person action shooter game "Watch Dogs 2" reveals the new hacking techniques, character customization and other additional contents that are not present in the first game. Also, the fans also get a closer look at the new main protagonist of the game, plus his new weapons and items that he can use to do his mission.
Polygon reported that the gameplay walkthrough brings the fans to anime director Colin Graham's version of the San Francisco Bay Area. In this game, the usually quiet and peaceful bay area will be filled with a lot of reckless driving, sneaking, hacking, and taking selfies in the most thrilling locations in the map.
According to Yibada, the first portion of the gameplay trailer released by Ubisoft is the new hacking techniques of the game sequel's lead character, Marcus Halloway. As the players take over Halloway's character, they can now perform quick hacking of other people's cellphones and cameras. If the hacking ability of the player is high enough, he will also be able to control cars. Likewise, a new net hacking feature will also be introduced that can help the players to detect any hackable gadgets near the area. The players can track their targets easily as they detect the strange hacking signals, text messages, and other strange things within the location.
Specifically, Marcus will need to hack an illegal stingray box as part of the mission given to him by DedSec. The players will be able to deploy several drones from his set of tools. They can use the quadcopter to inspect around the skies, or use the RC jumper to explore other areas without being detected by the enemy units. The latter device is very helpful as the enemy also deployed tracker dogs that can detect Marcus' presence even from afar.
As for the character customization, the trailer shows Marcus having a variety of items to choose from. There are at least 700 special items that the players can pick for their character, plus over a billion matches and combinations of hats, shirts, pants, and shoes.
Taking selfies in the game can also help Marcus as these will increase the number of followers added to his personal DedSec account.
