'Wentworth' season 5 release date, plot rumors: Liam Hemsworth to join cast as Allie Novak's lover?

It will still be a while before "Wentworth" hits back on TV for season 5. However, rumors are unstoppable and now they involve Hollywood superstar, Aussie actor Liam Hemsworth. There are speculations that he will guest in the series and will play the next love interest of Allie Novak (Kate Jenkinson).

"Wentworth" is an Australian TV series the focuses on the story of women inside the Wentworth prison. For four seasons, the plot mainly revolves around Bea Smith (Danielle Cormack) from being charged with attempted murder for the death of his husband to his journey way up to being Wentworth's top dog prisoner. However, in season 4 finale, Bea was tragically killed.

It has been a while since the first rumors of Hemsworth joining the cast as a guest character have surfaced. Despite the lack of confirmation, the rumors have now developed and are saying that he will play the role of a new prison warden who will eventually be Allie's next lover. Allie used to be Bea's romantic partner in the show.

Initial reports say that said that Hemsworth's inclusion to the series is being considered to maintain the viewers' excitement for the show. Now that the main and most-loved character is dead, it is believed that big star like Hemsworth will help maintain the support that "Wentworth" is getting before they killed off Bea.

However, there is a daring fan theory at Reddit that detailed possible reasons why Bea is not dead. Reddit user that goes by the name Tadaia said that, first, season 4 finale was a "cliffhanger." Therefore, no conclusions are to be considered final and correct including Bea's death.

The Redditor argues, "They could've confirmed Bea's death in a 101 ways but they did not. I also note that if the intent was to kill Bea there was no need to even mention an ambulance (this was done 2 or 3 times). This was the lead, the show's protagonist and hero... no final montage to Bea?" Tadaia also commented that it seemed odd for Cormack to be too quiet about her character's death.

Meanwhile, there is not confirmed schedule yet for the return of the show but it is speculated to happen sometime in 2017.
