'WWE 2K17' DLC release date, features and gameplay news & update: new 'Legends Pack' adds Eddie Guerrero

2K's wrestling simulation game, "WWE 2K17," got its second downloadable content (DLC) expansion yesterday, Nov. 22, adding more playable wrestlers such as Brutus "The Barber" Beefcake, Eddie Guerrero, Greg "The Hammer" Valentine, Tatanka and Sycho Sid.

The DLC titled the "Legends Pack" costs $8.99 and is available for PlayStation 3 (PS3) and PS4 consoles, also including Xbox 360 and Xbox One consoles.

The first DLC titled "Goldberg Pack" was also released earlier this month, and it added the legendary Bill Goldberg as a playable wrestler.

Gaming experts speculate that "WWE 2K17" will get more DLCs in the coming months, similar to what "WWE 2K16" received, and those who would like to get the upcoming ones for free, a Season Pass is also available for $30, and it already includes the "Legends Pack."

For players who acquired the NXT Edition of "WWE 2K17," 2K also released an exclusive "Enhancement Pack" which also added new wrestling characters into the roster, namely Shinsuke Nakamura, Apollo Crews, and Nia Jax. This pack is also available for regular "WWE 2K17" players, but they have to purchase it for $9.99.

2K is tight-lipped about any details for their upcoming DLCs for "WWE 2K17," but most fans expect to see Karl Anderson and Luke Gallows in future updates, especially that the game publisher promised more than 11 DLCs for the game.

The game had been a success so far, and was even listed as one of the top 10 best-selling games last month. Though it is doing well commercially, the game is not too favorable among critics, with a GameSpot rating of just six over ten.

"WWE 2K17" was first announced during the Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3) last June, with John Cena and Sasha Banks among of the first wrestlers to be confirmed in the game. The game was officially released on Oct. 11 for PS3, PS4, Xbox 360, and Xbox One consoles.
