WWE rumors update: Cesaro next to leave company?
There has been tons of news lately regarding superstars leaving World Wrestling Entertainment. Alberto Del Rio was released by the company a month before his contract expires. Paige reportedly quit as well, and now Antonio Cesaro is rumored to follow their footsteps.
There are no details to corroborate these reports yet, but it is being said that the Swiss Superman will not return to the company after his contract expires.
The Post and the Courier say that Cesaro's exit will deeply hurt WWE. The superstar is one of the most popular and prized talents of the company today and his skills definitely show why.
Even Cesaro's fellow superstars namely 15-time world champion John Cena and the legendary Stone Cold Steve Austin knew that there is a bright future ahead of him.
Despite having the makings, Cesaro has not gone beyond the midcard status, and some felt like WWE is misusing him, considering the fact that he has proven he has what it takes to headline an event and be one of the top guys.
Justin LaBar of Wrestlezone says that despite the rumors, there's no clear indication of Cesaro leaving WWE.
"I don't know for a fact when Cesaro's contract is up or what his exact state of mind is, but I can say based on the reasoning in the rumors you're referring to that they seem to hold no weight," the WWE insider told a fan.
Just recently, Cesaro picked up his first win in the best-of-seven series against Sheamus. After the fight, he showed no signs of wanting to leave.
"I feel like everything in WWE I earn the hard way," Cesaro said. "I always have to prove people wrong and I'll continue exactly that," he promised.
This suggests that he could be in for the long run after all. His ongoing feud with Sheamus alone requires him to be around for a while.
