WWE rumors 2016: Chris Jericho may be given chance
At the moment, things are exciting for the World Wresting Entertainment (WWE). The two brands, Monday Night Raw and SmackDown Live, are thriving and their own storylines are rather compelling.
For the "red" brand, the Universal Championship rivalry between Seth Rollins and Kevin Owens is reaching fever pitch and fans are excited about what can happen next.
However, it appears that the WWE is considering injecting a new name in the conversation, and it is in the form of Owens' best friend, Chris Jericho.
Rumors are circulating that Jericho may be part of the title run and it should generate a lot of interest given the current storyline they follow.
At the moment, Jericho is making his own waves with his list and his odd partnership with Owens. Fans are certainly very receptive to their on-screen chemistry.
Jericho and Owens are often on the same page when it comes to antics but fall apart when the title is concerned and on how they handle Rollins in matches so it could be something the WWE creatives can work around to bring Jericho into the picture.
This would certainly help Rollins for the short term as it would provide a great distraction for Owens. But in the long run, the rivalry will now revolve around the three which would make it more difficult for Rollins to overcome.
As for Jericho, he will now get his renewed push for another title run and it would be very interesting given that he is supposed to be Owens' best friend and should have his back at all costs.
For Owens, this would help cement his legacy as a great champion if he can overcome odds to beat Rollins and possibly even Jericho. This would allow him to show that he can do things on his own and it might help him prolong his championship run.
This is merely speculation but something may come of this if the company wants it enough.
